‘He’s got loads of chances’ – JP McManus Lucky 15 on Day 2 at Punchestown

JP McManus is the biggest owner on both sides of the Irish Sea in National Hunt racing and is rarely out of the headlines. The Punchestown Festival continues on Wednesday and he’s got loads of good chances to watch out for. With that in mind, we’ve picked out four of his most interesting contenders and combined them into a Lucky 15. Go ahead and check out our free tips page too!

2.30 Punchestown

Beyond Your Dreams was progressive in her first three starts over hurdles and she managed to get off the mark in a maiden at Fairyhouse in December. Things didn’t quite go to plan when well fancied for the Hallgarten And Novum Wines Juvenile Handicap Hurdle and she came ninth. Racing off a lower mark here, she deserves another chance and the step up in trip could help.

3.40 Punchestown

Kaid d’Authie got the better of a subsequent winner when getting off the mark in a 2m4f maiden hurdle at Leopardstown over Christmas. Two runs in Grade 1 company suggests he’s not up to that level yet and the drop in grade is a big plus. We should see a much better display this time around.

4.15 Punchestown

Honesty Policy is a hugely progressive novice and he took the step up to Grade 1 company in his stride when scoring at Aintree last time out. Doing his best work late that day, the step up to three miles should be no problem on that evidence. His profile suggests there’s more to come.

5.30 Punchestown

Spillane’s Tower made huge strides towards the end of last season and claimed successive Grade 1 victories at Fairyhouse and at the Punchestown Festival last season. His narrow second behind Fact To File in the John Durkan is excellent form and he can take full advantage if Galopin Des Champs fails to fire.
